The Make Money Online Pursuit, Fad Or Reality?

Just came back form the SEM Expo in Santa Clara. The whole Search Engine Optimization and Marketing is pretty ripe in my thoughts right now. Hence this post is all about SEO, Rankings, Back Links & Making Money in the process.

If you’re hoping to find out how to exploit a technicality of search engine ranking programs, or how to automatically send your URL to 10,000 websites while you sleep, then you need to go somewhere else.

Make money online? Sure, you can do it. People less intelligent than you do it every day. But I’m not going to tell you that there’s a secret magic formula that’s going to start funneling money into your bank account overnight.

Making money online is much more about a comprehensive approach and a mindset of discipline and, yes, hard work. But the payoff is that putting in the right kind of effort up front can make things a lot easier later on.

People succumb to all kinds of fads when they’re desperately trying to increase their search engine positions, specifically Google for that matter. Remember when back links were the be-all and end-all of SEO and PageRank?

It wasn’t too long before link farms and paid link schemes started showing up. It worked for a while, but once the search engines were onto it, all those bought links were like anchors dragging sites that used them farther and farther down in the search engine rankings.

There will always be someone who claims to have exploited a loophole in search engine ranking or Page Rank algorithms. If they have, then naturally people will exploit it, the search engine companies will figure it out, and put a stop to it by either de-listing sites or penalizing them severely. During those couple of weeks that others saw their numbers soar and then tank, you could have been taking real, solid steps necessary towards sustained rankings.

You’re probably wondering, “Should I use social networking, blogging, Twitter, or FaceBook to promote my site?” The answer is, “Yes.” In other words, you have to take a well rounded approach with the long view in mind. You don’t get a stellar site by spamming, generating dozens of blogs that auto-post material from other places, or by annoying the visitors you do get with lousy content and poor design.

We all know it’s possible to make money online, and I’m going to show you how to do it without alienating your website visitors or angering the search engine gods.

Can you think of any reason for your neighbor to make money online instead of you? Is he smarter than you? Not likely. A tech wizard? I don’t think so. Chances are, he knows that you can’t depend on any single practice to bring traffic and conversions to your site. So you have to take a number of approaches. It’s hard work, but it’s not rocket science. And there’s no reason you can’t be the one to make money online. So why not get started right now?

I suggest you spend sometime reading this blog. Its filled with many educational posts. Also please download my ebook on how to create a steady stream of income from the internet and how I reached my $10k in 30 days.
