Hi Craig,

This is a classical open source problem. My take on this is, no matter which way you go there will always be issues with plugins and themes.

Not all plugins and themes will work with one another. A reality we have to accept and move on.

Given all the advancements, For most people, The days of loading all kinds of plugins into the blog and expecting that everything else will work in harmomy are coming to an end.

I know Stu and Tracy are reaching out to mainstream theme & plugin creators for their blessings, which is a good thing.

Everyone should think twice about using WLM if you are planning to use any other plug-ins. I am having a devil of a time getting WishList to run with SimplePressForum (which I would think is a fairly standard use for a membership site) and have been talking with WL for several days through their Support network. After being asked to supply FTP access, I received the following response:

Hi Craig,

Thanks for the information.

Unfortunately if a plugin conflict is creating the issue, there is not much we can do in terms of helping you.

However, I will pass this on to the developers to verify that this is the case.

Have only just discovered the possibilities of using a membership plugin with wordpress, such as Wishlist member, and your post here makes me think that i really need to get on the ball and get a site up and runnning very soon, if not straight away.

So i guess i will need to buy it first ?

I was contemplating using Amember, but you have convinced me that this plugin is not only easier to use, but will do just about everything i would ask of a membership script

Sorry to hear you are dissapointed by my review.. I am a marketer after all -

I am extensively using the plugin now. My review 2.0 on wishlist plugin will rock, I promsie. So I would say don’t discard my efforts yet

I met Stu and Tracy last month and they promised the drip content function is coming in couple of months as an add on instead being the core of the wishlist. Waiting for its release so that I can test and provide a better review.

Have just listened to the video on wishlist member plugin.
It broke up several times, the audio was scattered, out of sync, inaudible, and at times
very loud.
This plugin is fascinating, I would have really liked to hear your presentation.
I have a g4 powerbook, and have successfully listened to your other videos,
which are very informative by the way.
Is anyone else reporting this?
