Everyone thinks that anything and everything can be sold on the Internet. It’s like a great departmental store where you can get anything under the roof for a lesser price than what is charged outside.

Maybe true to some extent. But if everything could be sold on the Internet, then all the big shopping malls and outlets can be closed without a second thought.

Lets face it. Shopping is a great experience. Imagine the plight of all those shopoholics who would be out of sorts if they did not have shops to shop from. Going shopping is akin to a fun outing. Bundle up the kids and drive down to the nearest mall.

Window shop to your hearts content. Get a bite at the nearest snack joint and wind up the day at the movies. Now that is a fun way of spending your evenings.

Who would want to browse around those boring websites with no fun and frolic, looking for some product they wish to buy, when there is no fun element attached to it? I wouldn’t for sure.

Internet marketing is aimed at the shopper who has no time to look around for the best deals by going around from shop to shop. It is aimed at those who have savings all the time on their mind. Where is the fun then? Lets us admit it.

Internet marketing is aimed at a very small segment of the population, that niche segment of people who have time constraints. The masses still prefer going out and buying the stuff they require. Internet marketing is hyped as the best thing that has ever happened.

I beg to differ. This is only for those who have no time to shop. It is definitely not meant for the customer who wants the real shopping experience. While not denying that marketing through the Internet gets across all over the world, it does not really translate into sales.

So you think that by putting your wares on the net you can sell? Think again. Why should anyone trust what he or she cannot feel and see for real? I rest my argument.
