Why is That Blog So Successful?
When you look at a blog that has a lot of followers and a lot of great content, do you ask yourself “what makes it so special”? Why do some blogs get so much traffic, while others just die in obscurity? Well as with anything in life, nurturing is the key.
To keep anything alive you must give it plenty of attention, take care of it and feed it. There are a few components to maintaining a successful and productive blog which we will share those with you now.
A successful blog usually is information rich, socially vibrant, always updated with fresh content( this is my 3rd post today on this blog) and seldom looks ignored.
Do you have something to give away for FREE like an e-book or special report? Helpful hints or secrets? Everyone loves to get something. Become a contributor to the niche in which you are blogging. Similar to conventional business, online businesses benefit from developing a solid relationship with colleagues. Some bloggers even encourage face-to-face meetings to create a feeling of community.
More simple tips that can help make a successful blog are:
Submit your blog to blog directories and to web directories.
Use your site’s URL in your email signature and when you participate in forums.
Put a link to your blog on your MySpace, Facebook or any social network profile that you may have.
Send out a mass email to your friends to let them know about your blog.
- Make quality posts on other blogs (i,e guest post)
- Monitor your own site for off topic posts and spam
- Direct your visitors to your lead capture page
- Break up blocks of text with and image or photo
- Keep your blog topics centered around current topics as well as diving into the past to make a point
Overall create an impression of a lively and vibrant site.
These are just a few things you’ll find on a successful blog. Blogging is an outlet for the blogger and an informative tool for the reader. Success comes when both are satisfying their needs.
