Four Productivity Secrets For Successful Blogging
Certainly blogging is not about writing. Making Money from Blogging has more to do with sales & marketing elements than content itself. Yet at the end it all boils down to “Productivity”.
Here is a small list of my productivity secrets.
Find Your Zone
Time is an important component of blogging success. I have two zones either at aorund 10PM in the night or 3AM in the morning. I After many iterations I have found those two times to work best for me, as that’s when I created my the best content historically.
Invest sometime and find your zone. Only blog during that zone. When you discipline by making this as an habbit, your brain will start responding and will deliver the metaphors you need to create good content.
Many bloggers get their metaphors all around during the day. The effectively catch their thoughts in a piece of paper for later writing.
One Shot Content Creation: Take one shot to create your content, and finish the post in one session. The session could be of 5 minutes or 60 minutes. Just finish it in one shot. Improvisation is a myth, No content is ever complete and no content is ever incomplete. The fact of the life is there is a set limited time in a day that we have for this, so effective management is the key.
Research a lot but don’t reconstruct. The problem with many bloggers is they edit their content as they write. This is something that schools and academic institutions have taught us all our life. Editing is a separate function ( clearly practiced in movie business). Many believe editing improves content quality but on the contrary it kills momentum.
So only edit your content after you are done writing out your thoughts, and do research your thoughts before writing. Remember a good piece of content is something that encapsulates a thought in its entirety. Editing sometimes kills the essence too.
Produce Content On a Daily Basis: The more the better. Remember Quantity & Quality have an inverse relationship. No matter who you are when you try to mass produce content, your will have to sacrifice quality. Regardless of how good or bad it is, at the end content is king. I have content on my blog that people would instantly shy away from reading. But there are people who still like that and provide valuable comments. Some even just love me for that.. Its silly. But thats the fact.
As I close this post .. here are a few profound words..
“Your Blog is your telescope to see your future and an album too which can show you your past”. So treat it with Tender, Love and Care. It will do wonders for you in the long run.
There is a 5th secret too.. Will share some other day
